Our newest and most popular development to join SunRiver Communities is the SunRiver Villas! Therefore, it comes as no surprise that many of our future residents are inquiring about this new and beautiful development.

WHAT KIND OF CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO SUNRIVER VILLA RESIDENTS?
We have a club for virtually every interest – and new clubs continue to form all the time!
Have an idea for a club that isn’t listed? Start it! Some of the most popular clubs have been started recently and grown rapidly.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Why of course! We understand the importance of man’s best friend!
Domestic animals are most definitely welcome. We even have a dog park right here in SunRiver that both communities have access to.
DOES SUNRIVER VILLAS HAVE A HOME OWNER’S ASSOCIATION?
SunRiver Villas does have an HOA with homeowner dues of $160 per month.
WHAT DO THE HOA FEES COVER AT SUNRIVER VILLAS?
The HOA fee covers maintenance of all the front yards in the community, plus common areas, the community center, pool, sports courts, and all additional amenity maintenance, association staffing, and management.
Homeowners may also add rear yard maintenance for an additional $40 per month. Also, homeowners may special request the use of walking mowers instead of riding mowers for $10 per month.
Other services, including plant maintenance, irrigation repairs, and rock refresh can also be requested on an as-needed basis for one-time fees.

IS THE SUNRIVER GOLF CLUB A PUBLIC COURSE?
Yes, the SunRiver Golf Club is public –and very beautiful– golf course with preferential rates and tee times for SunRiver Communities Residents.
The SunRiver Men’s and Ladies’ Golf Association is very active and always welcomes new members. Call the staff at the Pro Shop at (435) 986-1000 for additional information or schedule a tee time.

Washington County is endowed with mild, low humidity winters with over 300 sunny days per year. The desert climate, the elevation of 2760 feet, promotes year-round recreation and leisure activities, including golf, tennis, fishing, waters sports, hiking, bicycling and more.
WHAT IS THE POPULATION OF ST. GEORGE AND WASHINGTON COUNTY?
Washington County (including St. George, Hurricane, Santa Clara, Ivins, etc.) has a population of 165,662 (2018).
WHAT IS THE COST OF LIVING IN ST. GEORGE?
The Cost of Living in St. George is generally 9% lower than the national average. Housing, Utilities and Health Care are categories where St. George particularly shines.

Crime is generally very low in St. George. Thank goodness!

WHAT IS THERE TO DO FOR EVENING ENTERTAINMENT?
THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING ON IN ST. GEORGE! You simply have to know where to look, that’s all!
One thing you will notice about St. George is that it offers more entertainment options than many larger cities. Whether you prefer the cultural arts, spectator sports, athletic participation, shopping, arts & crafts, or outdoor recreation, St. George has it all.
ST. GEORGE CULTURAL ARTS
You can’t discuss the arts in Southern Utah without mentioning the acclaimed Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts, a local outdoor amphitheater that features “Broadway in the Desert” production during the summer and a concert series throughout the year.
The 2020 show schedule features the musical productions of Disney’s The Beauty and The Beast, Annie, The Count of Montecristo, and so much more changing year-round, along with numerous concerts.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival is a Tony Award-winning theatre company located at Southern Utah University with festival performances from June into October.
The 2020 show schedule features the musical productions of The Pirates of Penance, One Man, Two Guvnors, Into The Breeches, Pericles, along with numerous concerts. They also feature back-stage tours, and literary, props, costumes and actors seminars.
The O.C. Tanner Amphitheater seats 2000 people, and the dramatic red canyons behind the stage almost steal the show. During the summer there is a concert series that showcases musical acts that specialize in many genres, including Folk, Celtic, and Jazz.
Regardless of what type of music you like – even wacky comedy – the O. C. Tanner Amphitheater can meet your needs. It is run by Dixie State College in nearby St. George, and tickets are $5 for youth under 18 and $9 for adults.
In addition, there are a number of local venues for theater, including St. George Musical Theater, productions at the Dolores Dore Eccles Fine Arts Center at Dixie State College, and some amazingly high-quality productions at each of the four local high schools.
St. George also offers 5 multi-screen movie theaters, 3 bowling alleys, and miniature golf.
Not to mention, we are but a measly 90 minutes from Las Vegas and 30 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada where many residents go for gambling and shows!
