Southwest Symphony's Bohemia in the Desert

An installment of the Southwest Symphony’s 2019-20 season’s classical series, enjoy Dvorak’s 9th

“New World” Symphony and Smetana’s “Moldau.”

The “Moldau” is a symphonic poem by Bohemian composer Bedřich Smetana that evokes the flow of

the Vltava River from its source in the mountains of the Bohemian Forest, through the Czech

countryside to the city of Prague.

The performance will be held Friday, Jan. 31 at the Dixie State University Campus' Cox Performing

Arts Center (395 South University Ave.). Tickets range in price from $15 to $28, and can be purchased

at the DSU box office. Performance will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
