2020 Winter 4X4 Jamboree
Join rock crawling enthusiasts from around the country for the 2020 Winter 4×4 Jamboree held in Hurricane, Utah! This spectacular event – held January 16 to 18, 2020 – features world-class rock crawling combined with gorgeous views of Zion National Park, Pine Valley Mountain and more!
The Winter 4×4 Jamboree is a non-competitive trail run event for high clearance 4×4 vehicles. Groups of participants will be led on rated trails by experienced trail leaders and helpers. (Trails are rated on a 10-point scale, with a rating of 1 for graded roads that may be easily traveled by most cars and a rating of 10 for purpose-built vehicles [buggies] with sophisticated suspensions and drivetrains operated by expert drivers.)
Trails will be limited to group size to ensure participants have an enjoyable experience, with more technical trails limited to groups of 10, and other trails up to 25 vehicles. Because of the different capabilities of full-size vehicles (Jeep, Toyota, Samurai, Buggy, etc.) vs. ATV / UTVs, we are limiting the event to full-size vehicles only.
All but 3 of the trails each day will line up in the staging area of the fairgrounds parking lot prior to 7:45 a.m. and leave at 8 a.m. Three trails will line up in the staging area of the fairgrounds parking lot prior to 9:45 a.m. and leave at 10:00 a.m.
For the 2020 event, organizers have added even more to the three-day vendor show, as well as new trails and features to the event. Stay tuned for updates.
On Friday, the Jamboree will kick off with a “Vendor Fiesta”, where each attendee (18 years and older) will be given a card that will have all of the event vendors' logos on it. Once particpants have visited every booth and received a sticker, they can enter the card in a drawing for valuable prizes.
The 2020 Jamboree is organized and run by the very dedicated volunteers from two non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations: Desert Roads and Trails Society (Desert RATS) and the Utah Public Lands Alliance (UPLA). Last year, thanks to all the sponsors and attendees, the Jamboree was able to donate $48,000 to UPLA, Utah 4 Wheel Drive Association, Washington County Search and Rescue and Share Trails/Blue Ribbon Coalition. These groups work tirelessly to keep Southern Utah's trails open and available to the sport of rock crawling.
The price per trail for the 2020 event is $40. For more information and to register, click here.
