Lava Flow Overlook – Here’s something fun and different! Those who are brave, should certainly visit here. Not only is this a scenic trail within the Snow Canyon mountains, but a new experience to see and go in lava caves.
You’ll want to make sure you have a trusty team by your side. To make the experience a real treat, make sure to pack some glow sticks. Once in the caves, break them open and see the colors explode!
Snow Canyon State Petroglyphs – Truly a picture worthy outing. Here’s a hike that isn’t difficult with a great reward at the end. The petroglyphs will have you mesmerized and possibly a little perplexed.
If you want to keep some of the petroglyphs for yourself, pack some cardstock paper with graphite pencils and you can etch the petroglyph onto paper.

After all that shopping, you’re going to want to stuff your face and your gullet, am I right? Well, friends, you’re in the right place! Dining in St. George is an experience all in itself, and boy do we have a plethora of options.

Chef Hogs Oyster Bar & Grill - This is the place to go if you’re looking for some of the best, most decadent fish that St.George has to offer. From its namesake oysters to steamers, salmon, halibut, clams and mussels, and shrimp and scallops, oh my (and so much more!).
But hey, it’s not all fish all the time in Sunriver Golf Course’s restaurant! Though the fish IS to die for, don’t get us wrong. If you’ve got a hankering for a ribeye, Filet Mignon, or even a delish breakfast and signature omelets while you’re in town, Chef Hog’s is the place for you.
Sunriver Pro Tip: Ask for a window seat facing the course. It’s a beautiful view any way you slice it, but especially during a classic Southern Utah sunset.
Cliffside Restaurant – Ready for another meal with a view? Cliffside Restaurant will have you swooning.
Sunriver Pro Tip: Make reservations for dusk, somewhere around 5-6 PM, and request a balcony table if the weather is nice. Although, this is St. George. When isn’t the weather nice?
The sun setting on the desert bowl town is a magical experience, and the only restaurant view of it’s kind you will find in Southern Utah. Another pro tip: get a side of fries for the table. They’re pretty much a necessity.
George’s Corner- If you’re looking for a piece of St. George’s history, while also searching for great food, George’s Corner is where you want to eat during your visit. George’s Corner Restaurant celebrates the history of St. George and is located right in the heart of downtown.
Grab a delicious burger and fries and make sure to visit the other local shops and art galleries located right there in Ancestor’s Square.
Guru’s Bar & Grill – Let’s move it over to something a little more rustic and casual, perhaps more on the town’s countryside of things. You’ve got to check out St.George’s newest sports bar and grill, right on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Bluff Street.
The high vaulted ceilings and wooden pillars will have you set in the most comfortable mood. The smells from the open-faced kitchen will have your stomach grumbling from the moment you walk through those front doors!

Iceberg – After all the scenic meals, it’s time for dessert! Where better to get your ice cream fix than Iceberg? Where a size small shake can literally feed the whole family.
If you want to feel the history of the town, come here. 60’s diner vibes with red leather booths and old Dixie State memorabilia will put you back a few decades! The menu doesn’t just stop at creamy ice cream shakes, no sir. Burgers, fries, onion rings. The works!
Red Fort Indian Cuisine- Why not try something a little outside of the Utah norm? You’ve come to the right place. We have limitless amounts of Asian, Mexican, Thai, and Indian cuisines in St.George. But our favorite? Red Fort Indian Cuisine, and OMG you will not believe how delicious this place is. And vegan-friendly too, if that’s what does it for you!
You can find several different types of curry, rice and vegetable dishes, and curry spin-off dishes here, the best and likely ONLY naan in town, and all the glorious spices and flavors you can imagine.

Tuacahn Amphitheatre – There’s a reason they call it, “Broadway in the Desert.” Tuacahn will have you in your feels whilst enjoying the gorgeous red rock that surrounds the theatre. There’s nothing quite like this experience.

Dinosaur Discovery Site- Ever seen a dinosaur? Well who has right? But we’ve got the next best thing for you! You can feast your eyes on the local dinosaur footprints found right here in St.George at our Dinosaur Discovery Site museum.
Utah Paleontologist, Jim Kirkland said it best, “The St. George track site is not only the oldest Jurassic dinosaur site in Utah, it is the best basal Jurassic track site in western North America!”
St. George Children’s Museum – Now this is a site. Whether you’re five or 50, you’ll surely get a kick out of the world created for children. Each museum room in this historic building boasts different local businesses, each with their very own activities for the children to participate in– and it’s just their size! Who doesn’t love pretending to be in a submarine, or playing scientist for the day?
There’s plenty to do and see and explore! You won’t be bored at this kid-sized attraction!
Thunder Junction and Splash Pad – Had a full, fun day of St.George site seeing and need to cool down? Thunder Junction Park is a great place for everyone! It’s an All Abilities Park, meaning that there is wheelchair accessibility. Instead of wood chips to soften falls, there are soft rubber matts in place.
There’s a waterfall and a train that goes around the whole park that both kids and parents can ride. What’s not to love!
Beat the heat and spend the day at the splash pad and the lazy river, just off Main Street and Tabernacle!
