Elf the Musical

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Santa Dash

Monday, December 2, 2019

Kick off the Christmas season by joining St. George Races, the City of St. George, and Cherry Creek Media for the SANTA DASH! Bring your own Santa outfit or register to get one at the event--- the more Santa's the better!!! This untimed fun run will take runners throughout Town Square offering spectacular views of the newly lit Christmas Lights! The race will start and end at the Christmas Tree in the middle of the park and will be run entirely in the park! This event is being held in conjunction with the other Christmas Events on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Town Square with the City of St. George, St. George Children's Museum, and Cherry Creek Media including the tree lighting ceremony, Christmas Carols, Ginger Bread Tour, hot cocoa and carousel rides.

This December, Kurt Bestor Brings “Peace on Earth”—His Suite of Beloved Holiday Arrangements—To the Center for the Arts at Kayenta. He’s a household name for most Utahns, but Kurt Bestor is also world–renowned for the multifaceted body of award–winning music he has composed and performed during his prolific career. This December, Bestor returns to Kayenta to perform “Peace on Earth,” an intimate concert series that seeks to instill peace into hearts at Christmastime. His holiday songs are beloved for their beauty, richness and uniqueness. Bestor loves performing at the Center because, as he puts it, “The 200–seat theatre creates a special, familial energy. It’s as if close friends have joined me in my living room to listen to the Christmas arrangements that I hold dear.”

Hungry Hustle 5k - Hustle to Fight Childhood Hunger

Each of the 5 kilometers will be marked with some fun activities including tinsel, Christmas trees, snowballs, candy canes, a selfie with Santa (the real one!) and much more! So, find your ugliest sweater, put on your running shoes and be prepared for a fun run filled with Christmas joy (and a whole lot of happy, non-hungry kids)! 8:00am – Food Drive begins at Confluence Park. Food drop off is available until 1:00pm. 9:00am – Packet pick-up and festivities begin. 10:30am – Hungry Hustle 5k begins.

The Forgotten Carols

The Forgotten Carols musical theater stage performance tells the story of Connie Lou, a nurse whose empty life is changed when Uncle John, a new patient she is attending, recounts the story of Christ’s birth as told by little known characters in the nativity story. The accounts from the Innkeeper, the Shepherd and others help the nurse discover what the world has forgotten about Christmas, ultimately encouraging her to open her heart to the joy of this special season. There will be two showings, one at 4pm and another at 7:30pm.
