ALL I ASK OF YOU: A NIGHT WITH JOHN SMITHERMAN AND FRIENDS
John Smitherman—an original American Tenor—teams up with local sensations for a night of songs of Love February 15 – 17 at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta.
After performing to sold-out crowds at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta (CFAK) last Fall, John Smitherman returns for Valentine’s Day to perform songs that connect to the love in all of us. He’ll be joined by some of the most dazzling voices in Southern Utah: Greg and Mimi Knell, McKenzie Morgan, Joyce Clements, and Sammy Myrick. Talented pianist Heidi Webb will accompany. The troupe will perform songs from musicals including “Phantom of the Opera,” “Gone With the Wind,” “South Pacific,” “Oklahoma,” “My Fair Lady,” “Casablanca,” and more. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable evening of gorgeous music sung by the legendary Smitherman and Southern Utah’s extraordinary vocalists. Purchase tickets online or call 435-674-ARTS (2787).
Smitherman’s exceptional talent has earned him leading roles in many productions, including the three leading roles in Broadway’s largest musicals—“Les Miserables”, “Phantom of the Opera” and “Jekyll & Hyde”—a feat that earned him a spot as one of the original “Three American Tenors.” Smitherman has earned countless awards, including the NY Salt Award (2x), the Handy Award and many more throughout his long and successful career.
