CHOIR PERFORMANCES AT THE TABERNACLE [2/2]
This Saturday (February 2), the newly renovated St. George Tabernacle will be hosting performances by two distinctly talented musical groups. Located at 18 S. Main Street in the heart of historic downtown St. George, the performances will be free to the public.
Utah Valley University Chamber Choir – 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The premier choral ensemble at Utah Valley University, the UVU Chamber Choir is composed of thirty-two undergraduates who share a passion for collective vocal artistry. Conducted by Dr. Reed Criddle, this ensemble specializes in virtuosic performance of a cappella repertoire from all eras. The Chamber Choir has recently toured Spain, China, as well as the East and West Coasts of the United States. Additionally, the UVU Chamber Choir performs regularly at the National Conference of the National Collegiate Choral Organization and at division and state conferences of the American Choral Directors Association.
The McDonald Singers – 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The McDonald sisters, Lainee 18, Breckin 16, Taija 14, and Halle 12, have been singing together here in Southern Utah since they were little babes. Lainee currently attends Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts for her senior year. She has been performing with her siblings for the past 8 years. Crowned Miss Ivins 2018 she loves serving her community, with her LDS family, and has a special place in her heart for children in need. She believes music is healing and loves to share her gifts to help others. These sisters are great friends and love performing and sharing their talents for good.
