Kurt Bestor — Music in High Places

This September, internationally acclaimed musician Kurt Bestor will perform his Music in High Places concert in view of the majestic red rock mountain range surrounding Kayenta’s outdoor plaza. In his third performance at CFAK, the renowned keyboardist — accompanied by his band of musicians — will perform a collection of original songs inspired by nature and creative minds like John Wesley Powell and Leonardo da Vinci. Some are new, unreleased pieces while others are from his recent albums including Sketches, Seasons, Innovators and Outside the Lines. Tickets are $35 ($10 for children and students) and can be purchased here. Chef Alfredo’s Ristorante Italiano will provide a delicious pre-show Italian dinner in the theater for an additional charge.

Raised in the small farming community of Yuba City, California, country musician Tyler Rich found his love of music while gathered around a Christmas tree alongside his family singing holiday classics and family favorites — from Creedence Clearwater Revival and Tom Petty to George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks. Since launching his solo career, Tyler’s fanbase has grown from Sacramento supporting his independent release to singing a record deal and publishing agreement with Big Machine Music. The 2018 CMT Listen Up Artist has since moved to Nashville and become a road warrior, performing alongside some of country music’s top acts including Sam Hunt, Brett Eldridge, Dan + Shay and more! Tickets to his concert are $20 for general admission, $10 for DSU students and $5 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased here.

 

 

Southern Utah Heritage Choir — To Italy with Love

A Prelude to the Choir’s Italian Tour

Come experience St. George’s hometown choir in their fall concert, To Italy with Love. The performance is a love letter to the romance, music and history of Italy, and will take place before the choir jets off on its performance tour of Rome this October. Tickets are $15 general admission and can be purchased here.

 

 

Southwest Symphony — Vivaldi to “Viva La Vida”

Featuring the Rosin Cello Duo

Featuring cello greats Daniel Gaisford and Jessika Soli, music will include Vivaldi’s Double Cello Concerto and Mozart’s iconic Symphony No. 40. The second half of the performance will feature Rosin on electric cellos playing “Viva La Vida,” music from the Lord of the Rings films and more! Don’t miss this fusion of classical and electric cello fireworks at the Southwest Symphony!
